Project Description
client: LenselinQ
location: Rotterdam (doesn´t exist any more)
year: 2014
LenselinQ is both a wine shop and wine importer. The owner, Martijn Lenselink, knows all the winefarmers personally and he only selects wines which tase fabulously, which are produced traditionally and which are without chemical additives. This passion for wine is conveyed in the design for the shop’s interior. In the hearth of the shop lies Martijn’s counter. It’s shaped like a winestain. The wine is displayed in front of the counter on a collection of second hand and odd shaped tables. The tables are painted in two shades of green, stacked on top of each other and placed in islands.
While the shop is also used to store the imported wines the place is from while to while stacked with boxes. To make these boxes part of the interior design we cladded the walls with unfolded empty boxes. In the back there is a cosy corner to listen to music and to sip a glass of wine. The wall behind the counter is used for storage and all along the wall stands a huge storage cabinet full of wines waiting to be opened and enjoyed.
